Mrs. Mary Kathryn Waldrop
I am from Arkansas. I got married and moved to Charlotte County in 1991. I have two sons, a daughter-in-law and a yellow lab. I began teaching in 1991 at Sallie Jones Elementary School. I have taught Kindergarten, first grade, second grade and third grade. I have been a classroom teacher and an academic coach, curriculum specialist and LEAD teacher.
My favorite quote is by one of my favorite characters, Horton:

My goal and my mission each day is to instill a love of learning in children so that they will become lifelong learners by making them feel safe, loved, successful, heard and important.
