Hello! My name is Meghan Becker and I am so excited to be starting my 21st year of teaching (2nd at LBHS) at LBHS! I was born and raised in Belvidere, IL. My family and I moved here the summer of 2021. Throughout my career, I have worked with 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade kids. I have a daughter that is a freshman at FGCU and a son that is a Sophomore. My husband and I are very involved in sports between weightlifting, track and football. We love the beach, boating and being outside, also.

 I graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 2003. I then went back to school for my masters in Curriculum and Instruction from St. Xavier University. I love teaching reading so I decided to go back to school again and graduated with my Reading Specialist degree in 2014 from Olivet Nazarene University. I love learning and I love sharing that with my students. Mission Statement: To give every student the keys to learning so they can open the gateways of opportunity throughout their lives.
