Mrs. Jennifer Petro-7th and 8th Grade Science
I grew up in a lovely little town in New Jersey, Fair Haven. I had an early love of science and have great memories of discovery ocean life alonf the NJ beaches. I took that passion with me to college and greaduated with a BS degree in Zoology with a minor in chemistry from North Carolina State University. I have been in the education field for over 30 years. I have worked and an outdoor experiential educator teaching marine biology, icthyology, herpetology, entomology, botany and beach ecology. I have worked as an informal science educator in the museum field, holding the director of education position for several museums. I entered the formal education field 11 years ago where I had the honor of working at Everitt Middle School in Springfield, FL and Mowat Middle School in Lynn Haven, Florida. I moved to the area one year ago and I am so proud to call LA Ainger my new home! I am excited about this school year and to watch our amazing student acheive their best.
