Welcome to eighth grade U.S. history! I look forward to working with both you and your child during this upcoming year. You can expect me to be fair, consistent, open-minded, and willing to assist your child in any way to help him/her succeed.

I grew up in Charlotte County, attending East Elementary, Punta Gorda Junior High, and graduating from Charlotte High School.  I earned my Bachelor’s of Science from Florida State University in English Education and began teaching middle school in 1994.  I am blessed with a wonderful husband and three beautiful children ages: 17, 14, and 13. Being a mom helps me better understand a parents’ perspective on education and wanting only the best for your child.  I treat your child the way I would want someone to treat mine.

I have taught middle school in our county for twenty-eight years and could not imagine a better profession.  I love teaching and hope that your child will be able to recognize the dedication I have to his/her education.   

I expect my students to work hard, have fun, and learn a world of new information by the time they walk out of my class at the end of this year.
