    The C.O.W. - Champ's On Wheels
    Summer 2023

    The C.O.W. aka Champ’s On Wheels, serves lunch to children 18 years old or younger for free!! Over the 2023 Summer Break we will be going to the Port Charlotte Library near the cultural center (1st stop). Our next stop is at Hampton Point Apartments in the Deep Creek area- off of Rampart- (2nd stop). Our last stop of the day will be East Elementary School at the bus loop for lunch service (3rd stop).

    Thursday, June 1st - Friday, July 28th
    No Summer Feeding July 4th
    Please Note: The C.O.W. does not operate during severe weather. Stay safe at home.

    Port Charlotte Library (next to the Cultural Center)
    10:30 AM – 11:00 AM

    Hampton Point Apartments (off Rampart Blvd.)
    11:30 AM – 12:00 PM- near buildings 11 & 12

    East Elementary School (bus loop)
    12:30 PM- 1:00 PM
    (last day at this stop July 11th, 2023)

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    The C.O.W. operates under the umbrella of the USDA and specifically the USDA’s Summer Food Service Program.
    All children 18 years old and under can receive a meal each day. Currently, the meal must be eaten on the premises and cannot be taken “to go”. The child must be present to receive a meal.
    This program is not for feeding adults – and the foods offered may not be ideal for babies and infants.
