Superintendent Vianello Announces New Principals and District Leadership
Charlotte County, FL- December 18, 2023
青青草视频 Superintendent Mark Vianello is pleased to announce several new leaders within the district.
Carolyn Whaley, Liberty Elementary School
Principal
Mrs. Carolyn Whaley earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Florida Gulf Coast University and her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education. Whaley has served with 青青草视频 since 2010 as a kindergarten teacher at East Elementary School. Since then, she has worked in various positions, most recently as Assistant Principal at Liberty Elementary School for the past 7 years.
Robert, Murphy, Lemon Bay High School
Principal
Mr. Robert Murphy earned his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of South Florida and his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
Murphy has worked in education since 2003 as a Math teacher in Hillsborough County. Before coming to Charlotte County in 2005 holding the title most recently as Assistant Principal at Lemon Bay High School. Murphy has held a variety of extracurricular positions, such as football and basketball coach, Advanced Placement Coordinator, Cambridge AICE Coordinator, Teacher Evaluator, and Staff Recruiter, to name a few.
Both Carolyn Whaley and Robert Murphy replace two long-standing principals who are transitioning to the County Office. Bob Bedford of Lemon Bay High School has been named Assistant Superintendent of Learning and Sheila Brown of Liberty Elementary School has been named Director of Elementary Learning. Bedford and Brown will start their new positions on January 2, 2024.
“The visions of these leaders align seamlessly with the recently approved Strategic Plan, creating a team poised to bring our vision to life and elevate the learning experience for all,” states Mark Vianello.
