Hello everybody! My name is Matt Cartland and I've been teaching here at Lemon Bay for the last 5 school years. While teaching, I've also been working in the field of TV Production to sharpen my skills and bring back knowledge from the field to share with my students. Since graduating from Lemon Bay in 2015, I've been a part of some awesome shows and once in a lifetime experiences. I've worked for ESPN, Red Bull Music, the CW, and I've been on shows for college football, Hall of Fame Basketball, and even rap concerts with Denzel Curry and the Flatbush Zombies. I graduated from FAU in 2019 (GO OWLS) and relocated back to Englewood, Florida. As great as the field of TV has been to me so far, I came back to Lemon Bay with one goal in mind; to share my experiences and inspire my students to follow their dreams and pursue film and video as a viable career after high school. Throughout the year, my syllabus will be updated with learning goals, assignment dates, and my class calendar.
